For my summer 2017 project, I have needed to yank myself out of bed well before sunrise. With my camera bag made ready the night before I drove off to remote spots along our Suffolk Coast & Heaths. Daybreak is the best time for photography; the light is so soft and changes as the minutes pass. I never can predict what might happen. The other real benefit of an early morning start is that I am in our beautiful landscape surrounded by birds, rabbits, hares and a palette of coastal colours... and no other person within sight. I usually spend a couple of hours within quite a small area trying out different photographic techniques but mainly I just immerse myself in my surroundings and make pictures. Do have look at my portfolios of Coastal Hues and Coastal Colours.
